BECOMING A CHRISTIAN

• Know that God loves you.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

• Everybody is a sinner. Admit that YOU are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

• Believe that sin will keep you away from God.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

• God forgives sin. When you admit you have sinned and sincerely ask God to forgive you. He will forgive you.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• Jesus died so that all people can be saved.

Isaiah 53:6 - All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

• You become a Christian when you accept Jesus as your personal Savior.

Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

• Prayer is very important as you think about accepting Jesus as your Savior. Ask God to help you as you make this decision.
